Suzanne Vega

2週間前くらいだったと思いますが、J-WaveでSuzanne VegaのTom's Dinner（聴けます）がかかって（Solitude Standingというアルバムからです）、ひっさしぶりにこの曲聴いたのと、Tom's Dinnerというのが曲名だったことを思い出しました。人間の（私の？）記憶はあやふやなものです。


会社時代（80's）、これを留守電のイントロに入れていたんですが、聴いてもらうと分かりますが、これまったくアカペラな曲（というよりもほとんど鼻歌に近い）で、今日またJ-Waveでかかっていて、ピストン西沢さんは「これってほんとに安上がり！」、秀島さんも「ラジカセで撮ったみたい！」と言ってました。確かに！　で、いきなり女性の声で歌い始めるので、ＮＹの会社の人が電話してきたときに、どぎまぎしたらしい。でもTom's Dinnerは歌の雰囲気といい、歌詞といい、まさにＮＹの朝って感じで、あちらからの皆さんには一番評判のよかったイントロでした！
